Chinese filmmaker, multimedia artist, and of course, founder of Global Intuition, Yi has had quite the journey of following her “intuition’ and becoming the owner of a conscious awareness lifestyle brand and conglomerate.
Before starting an international brand, Yi specialized in multimedia art and film making where her works have been shown at Shanghai Biennale, Venice Biennale, Sundance Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival. Throughout the years, Yi has also collaborated with a number of global campaigns ranging from Persol in 2012, DFS T-Galleria in 2015 and Levi’s in 2016. Yi Zhou was named as the first ever artist-ambassador to endorse a beauty brand for China: Clarins, from 2010 to 2011.
But what got Yi, a natural artist who has multi-disciplinary range, started as an entrepreneur? She simply said in a recent interview with Good Morning LaLa Land that her best friend encouraged her to start her own clothing brand.
Since she loved the world of luxury fashion and was raised in fashion capital, Paris, it was a no-brainer that Yi should start her own line.
Aligning her values of charity, sustainability, and heritage, Yi developed a gender-fluid minimal, soulful fashion line that bridges the gap between fashion, branding and philanthropy. And in 2018, Global Intuition was born.
Global Intuition, manufactures products through economically, sound processes that minimize negative environmental impacts while conserving energy and natural resources. Yi says, "Global Intuition, is defined as an all-encompassing feeling that is immediately understood. Style is a 'sixth sense' and our 'Shanghai meets LA' new brand of clothing brand is set to take the world by storm."
